Ford Bronco Sport Badlands Review - King Of The Hill?

Показать описание
The 2021 Bronco Sport Badlands is far more capable than you might expect for an FWD based SUV. We tested it in challenging conditions including steep hillclimbs, deep moguls and ruts, mud and even some on road driving.

This review covers the Badlands Edition with the 2.0L engine and the torque vectoring limited slip differential.

Specs:
Iconic Silver
Equipment Group 400A
Ford Co-Pilot Assist
17" Carbonized Gray Painted Aluminum Wheels

MSRP: $35,745 including destination fees

Seems pretty capable. I like that the interior is fairly simple and seems like it will hold up.

I got the Bronco Sport Big Bend edition. I don't have time to off road a lot because I am a workaholic. But it has been very capable in the mountains and snow where I live. Had mine almost a week now. 700 miles on it so far.

Finally someone that actually knows what they're talking about making a video on this suv. Thank you for being very thorough!

I’m impressed. Definitely not a dressed up escape. I think I know what I’m going to buy when I start my family.

I wasn’t too fond of it initially, but I realized what it’s is and who it competes with in the marketplace and it began making since. It’s meant for someone who just likes a more durable and capable AWD CUV, and not something that fakes it and is far less capable off-road, such as a Trailblazer and Blazer. Now bring on the real Bronco.

Nice review. FWIW, my 2024 Badlands has a few things missing from his, like rear-passenger USB ports and leather-trimmed seats. So they are available.

I have the Bronco Sport base. Chose this one because i don’t live in my vehicle, so i didn’t need all the bells and whistles. With that being said. I have taken mine on several off road journeys. The one that stands out the most is the trail going up to Crystal Mill in Colorado. My girl made it up and down with no problem. All the jeep guys going up or coming down didn’t think i would make it. She did extremely well. Handled well on the slopes, big rocks, and the massive puddles. If you have no idea about the trail to Crystal Mill, they have a video on you tube.

Just got my Badlands 2024 today. I'm in love. And it came with a cargo deck! :)

Also, a muddy Bronco is a happy Bronco.

My wife and I each have a 2023 Badlands. They are terrific.

Excellent review and great video production! I am one of those chomping at the bit for a Badlands, and it looks like I'll be doing so until the '22's come out (even with the special factory order I put in, and thanks to the chip shortage). The Badlands model is nearly impossible to find here in SOCAL, and dealers are asking too much for the few First Editions available out there, some with markups over sticker by as much as 15 - 20%.

this is a great review, of all the reviews i have watched this is the first one to mention the difference between the 1.5 and the 2.0. too many reviewers want a car suv and give it a bad review that is not what this vehicle was built for

It needs a more aggressive all terrain tire. I like the look and the Badlands is the one to get because of 2.0 engine.

A guy I work with bought one of these, he's already talking about putting a big lift on so he can get 35' mud terrain tires on it once it's delivered.

He's actually been pestering me to help him with tire research because I made the mistake of telling him that I was doing research of my own for a new set of shoes for my jeep this fall.

Everyone has heard about how well this performs off-road but I've seen several reviews about mechanical issues and Ford not fixing things in a timely basis. Has anyone experienced some of this?

Great review. Right level of technical. Great range of off-roading. I feel like Forester Wilderness/Sport might be a good competition. The Badlands is thankfully no CVT, much more powerful and pretty similar on fuel economy to the Wilderness. I love my other Ford so a good option. Jealous of the MachE I read you have on order.
