Sounds to me like she’s saying her 3D mouth is rigged to only open and close, not to move and shift in the a way that lets her lips make expressive shapes.

I feel like IRyS is one of those cases where her 2D is on par with her 3D, but that's not to say that either of them are bad, they are both quite high quality

I actually think Biboo's 3D mouth tracking is not good because it loses her iconic :D smile and default expression, overall though Advent and Regloss 3D are top tier.

I'm glad she said it, because I noticed some of that weirdness in her Carbonated Love MV. Like, there are moments where it feels like her mouth should be more open and it just isn't.

I noticed this as well, that her lip shape is off in 3D and the fangs are less noticeable.

It could be a calibration issue or even which facial movements are mapped to which model changes. She obviously has a smile like the one she is describing, it does pop up, but it is not triggered by the mouth movements she thinks it should be.

Something I will never understand about Hololive's 3D models, it's the lack of proper tracking that practically every indie VTuber has. As well as their 2D to a degree.

People here complain about the poor tracking and rigging of home 3D but will also laugh at it's scuffness. The irony lmao.

The lesson here is most people doesn't care about the accuracy of the rigging and tracking UNLESS somebody nitpicks on them. I don't look at any vtubers models on any stream. If they're gaming, it's their gameplay i am watching. If they're yapping and karaoke, then it's background sounds/music to me. The only time the models truly mattered to me? Debut, 3D debut and showcases, and the very very uncommon times they do shenanigans with their home 3D.

It's weird that they can't just fix bad tracking. What's the point in investing so much time and money making a Home 3D model, if the quality is so bad, the talent doesn't want to use it?
