one advantage the 767-400ER has over the A330/787 is the ability to operate into smaller places like LGA. Delta has used them on occasion there in the past

I love the 767 series and the -400er has always been a bit of a mystery. Thanks for the information.

Flying home to LA on Delta 767 from Atlanta for Thanksgiving holiday. It's such a comfy plane! Love it!

I love how abnormally long the -400ER looks (looks almost like a baby 777). But I also love how the 787-10 looks ABSOLUTELY MASSIVE for a 787 Dreamliner with its very long fuselage. I saw a Singapore Airlines 787-10 parked at the gate in Osaka Kansai airport, and it looked ABSOLUTELY MASSIVE!! It looked more like a large aircraft than a medium sized aircraft, since it was meant to replace the older 777-200. The 787-10 replaced an older Aircraft that was in a larger size class than the family as a whole, similar to the older 767-400ER, although the 777-200s replaced the DC10 and L1011 Tri-Jets as well. And I think the reason why they had to made the fuselage so long on those 2 variants of the 787 and 767, was because the fuselages on those aircraft are narrower than their older preceding counterparts, and even their competitors like the A350-900, which is a competitor to the 787-10, and also replaced the 777-200.

i guess the 787 was the 767 replacemnet, but the 767-400 was and still is an amazing planes, one of my faves to fly in flight sim, and its just an amazing overall aircraft. I've never been a fan of those super old gauge cockpits, but i love the 767, so the 400 is a great plane for me

Back in the late eighties I flew twice to the US from GVA. The first time was with TWA and the legendary L-1011 and the second time was with American and the brand new B767. I was really impressed by this bird at that time. It was the former American livery with bare metal.

I remember this aircraft being built as a pure tristar/ dc_10 replacement and I believe at the time (not officially) both delta and Continental said to Boeing, if you dont build it, we will go to wonder if Boeing actually made a loss in order to keep both companies? Not entirely sure this is accurate but close?

Excellent video! I always choose my ATL to SAN flights based on which times/dates offer 767-400 service, such a cool plane.

Enjoyed a trip to Honolulu and back in 2006 on 764s.

*2 - 3 - 2* in _Economy_ &
*2 - 2 - 2* or
*1 - 2 - 1* in _Business/First, _ is more comfortable for passengers than any other widebody seating format

United has a couple of these planes flying out of Washington Dulles regularly. They are using the 767-400ER on their Washington to Honolulu route currently as well as from Washington to Accra, Ghana and sometimes Lagos, Nigeria

This aircraft was used in the movie Non-Stop. The actual aircraft is a 767-400 ER.

Going to fly on one from Newark to Dublin next week. One thing I liked when booking it is the 2-3-2 seating. Don't have to sit next to anyone if you're traveling with 1 other person. I thought that was pretty cool

B767, with the most sexiest forward tilting gear in aviation!

My favourite plane to fly on as a passenger! Pity it seems to be phased out. It really deserves its reputation as "the flying living room".
