I use yoga Nidra when I haven’t gotten a good night sleep, when I’m stressed or when I need to ground and get back into my body. It’s is changing my life!

Just getting to the end of Module One, as we talked about before I signed up is that I have ADD and Autism and Yoga Nidra has had the biggest impact on addressing my symptoms. It is amazing how it shuts down my brain noise and inner voices. I have meditated for years and nothing has been as fast acting and effective as this.

Yoga Nidra has been helping me fall asleep naturally, but in addition, now that I am practicing daily for the training, I am noticing it frequently stops one of my headaches in it's tracks, allowing me to go about my day without needing to take my migraine medication. So wonderful. Thank you!

Hi Ally, I have used your yoga nidra videos through my long covid journey. I find on a bad day with fatigue or brain fog doing a yoga nidra session allows my central nervous system to reset. I can't recommend it enough to anyone who is struggling with long covid.

Hi Ally. Thank you for all your profound videos. I am 62 and from 10 years old I have been dealing with fatigue issues, IBS from 12, painful periods from 13, glandular fever at 17, food poisoning and shingles at 22, pmt in my thirties, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome from 30, Athletes Foot so badly the inflammation reached my ankles with three killing courses of antibiotics (because my doctor thought it was an infection) that totally wiped me out for 3 years at 32. Allergies and food intolerances from then and now multiple chemical sensitivity. Heavy period bleeding and fibroids from 42 and finally a diagnosis of Hypothyroidism. Anxiety and panic attacks from my middle fifties after a hysterectomy until I wanted to die to escape the mental pain. I now realise I fall in the class of hyper-sensitive people and all my health problems fall into a diagnosis of Central Sensitivity Syndrome. Despite dragging this lot behind me I have managed to get on top of all these 'never-ending' conditions and have a happy fulfilled life but for the last few years I have felt a bit of a wreck with all the left-over barnacles of fighting so hard, for so long, and just keeping going encrusted on my spirit and mind. As a really compassionate person who has regularly hurt myself to help others, I am shocked that, my defense mechanisms have largely closed my doors to other people for the time being. I have accepted that I need deep rest and have found Yoga Nedra is a key part of achieving it as part of a healing creative, gentle exercise, gardening lifestyle. I am not sure how long I will have to remain cloistered like this but I am trying to commit to more regular Yoga Nedra and other mindful practice. I was very interested in research being carried out by Michael VanElzakker on ME/CFS and vagus nerve infection caused by amongst other things Epstein-Barr. When I tell doctors I have never been really well since I had glandular fever (E-B) they scoff or laugh at me and this had created painful barnacles I need to release too. Caring for myself by nurturing my parasympathetic nervous system and particularly my vagus nerve is where my life’s journey, partly wrecked as it is, has brought me so this research has reinforced my belief that there is a very good chance that this is the right direction for me to take. So thanks again for all the great practices, I really appreciate them and the thought and care behind them xxx. The comments here are my personal experience not a recommendation.

I have been using Yoga Nidra to help me relax into sleep, as well as in the afternoon when I need a energy boost. But I think I have been getting the side benefit of self acceptance. I notice a change in my perspective on life, and I notice I catch myself when I start down a negative self talk pattern. When I catch myself, I shift gears and talk to myself in a much nicer compassionate manner. I am finally able to give myself love and compassion.

I'm in the YN training, nearing the end of module 1. Practicing on an almost daily basis has brought me so much serenity and peace. I am navigating the perimenopausal waters, and am finding that rest is so crucially important! Not just sleep, but REST. Yoga Nidra allows me to do that, and as a result I feel replenished rather than drained during this important transition of my life. I'm so grateful.

Thanks for this information Ally! As a single mom I've found Nidra to be so helpful in keeping my energy up without excess caffeine as well as staying calm when my kids are having tougher days. Based on what you shared, I might try Nidra with my kids as well. Thank you!

Hi Ally, I had been stuck in the "flight or flight" sympathetic nerves system. For me this includes anxiety, panic and insomnia. Through the consistent use of your Yoga Nidra videos I have been able to switch over to my parasympathetic system. I use your sessions in the morning, afternoon, evening and especially at night to quiet my anxious monkey brain.
As I'm finishing a course on integrative health coaching, I'm waiting before I sign up for your course. Balancing my health with my "nerd" is necessary. Blessings. NAMESTE

I have had a really difficult week and am so thankful to be in the training right now getting through Module 1. My head, body and emotions have been all over the place and Yoga Nidra has helped to ground me, focus my spirit, and allow me to be present for my family. Honestly, I don't know if I would have been able to teach my Yin Yoga class this past Friday if I had not been practicing Yoga Nidra regularly! So grateful for you and the team- Namaste

Thank You Ally- Teacher Training leaving module 1 and going into module 2- Wow I am very blessed to participate in this special training. As a grieving mother losing my only son while suffering from trauma of catastropic death and pain. Yoga Nidra is my only solution and guidance in my life and the life of my immediate family. Complete transformation is what I am after while I'm at peace with myself. YN has made a difference in my life.

Yoga Nidra has helped me find more inner peace. I am more accepting of myself, and accepting of that which I cannot change. It's also helped with feeling grounded and safe in my body. Not to mention I tend to sleep badly in the summer, waking up many times per night (I am a very hot sleeper) and yoga Nidra has been super helpful as a practice during the afternoon when I am losing my energy and focus. A little re-charge :)

Namaste, Ally and to all who are on a yoga nidra journey! Regular practice first gave me the gift of being able to rest and relax during a time of emotional upheaval. There was a lot of falling asleep at first, but I also know my body needed it! Later, I began to notice that during yoga nidra, my emotions might pop up as physical sensations for a few moments then subside as I the practice continued. My physical stress/anxiety responses have gone down, and I gained more awareness when they were occurring during the day. Thank you for mentioning the breathing techniques - as I practiced yoga nidra more often, and became aware of my acute stress responses earlier, it gave me the mental space to utilize these more effectively. My self love, gratitude, and compassion have all increased and I am so thankful for this.

I listen to your nidra practices most days. I live with MS and nidra practice really helps counteract fatigue and promote rest even on days where i don’t sleep well. I’ve got my son listening too to help with insomnia. Thank you 🙏

Hi Ally! Here from YTT, module one. Yoga Nidra has helped me with severe anxiety, hypersensitivity, insomnia, addiction and PTSD - which is why I decided to take your teacher training, I never thought I would be able to overcome these obstacles in my life. Yoga Nidra has most definitely had a huge impact on my life. Thank you so much 🤍

I am so grateful to have found you Ally! I never had any luck with meditating or practicing mindfullness. But your videos help me achieve so much calm incredibly easily.
Even though I had insomnia ever since I was a child, I managed to start sleeping better a couple of years ago. Writing out my feelings helped with that. Nevetheless I still have lots of nightmares, almost every night. Your videos help me "start the day anew". They calm me down after the vivid nightmares leave me agitated. A few minutes in your video I am able to forget all about the nightmare.

Yoga Nidra is incredible! I truly notice the difference when practicing throughout the day or at night. When I need a reboot I like to play a video during my lunch break, I feel recharged after a yoga nidra video, I have more mental clarity, and feel refreshed. When I practice yoga nidra before bedtime, I have the most restful sleep ever!. Thank you

I've been recovering from a nervous system injury for a few years now and discovered yoga nidra lately from someone who used it to heal from long covid. It is one of the few things that has seemed to help...besides time. I think it really does help to relax my system when little else does...and I've tried just about everything. A lot of the things are just too much for my system, but yoga nidra is not. Thank you for sharing these.
