There is also a cliff you can hop onto, so she does not reach and you can kill her with arrows. Just remember you need 50 arrows to kill her. So one stack is not enough if you don't want to take the risk of getting them back from her living body.

If you play solo, you can arrow mama bear until you just need to one shot it, save. Now you can kill it and harvest the loots on the cave.
After that save and exit to main menu then reload the save file before you kill it. One shot it again and loot the cave, again.
This is the best way to get tons of skin for recycling, meats and alot machete and hooks because the box in the cave give us 100% 1 machete per loots

Usually jumping in a zig zag way while walking forward avoids getting hit by any bears jump left then right and left while holding forward and I am 100% sure that it will be easier to fight bears(idk if it works for the big bear)

I started playing a month ago, i found b myself after dying twice that You can cheese Mama Bear with the Berry Box. She can't go over it and it's big enough that She won't attack you threw it so i stayed behind box and macheted her.

I was sailing trying to get to this story island and my battery dies and I couldn’t make another one so while I was looking for copper I sold the story island and I’m not sure if the blue dot on the radio Is the radio tower or balboa. Also any direction I go I it says I’m going away from the island. Does anyone know how to fix this?

If you are trying to kill mama bear you can hide behind the berries and shoot her while she is running into the basket

Cheese the encounter or die. That's the definition of bad game design. Luckily this was the only instance of it in the game. The rest was great.
