How to replace the batteries in a 2017 Ford Explorer key fob

This key fob takes two Panasonic CR2025 batteries. You should replace both batteries at the same time.

My deceased brother had a 2015 Ford Fusion. I have it now. I never knew what it was like to fly an Apollo Space Mission...until I had the Fusion! I've ALWAYS been a Ford man, but, man...this is new to me! Not needing a key to start the car! Just the fob! And, of course, the batteries were dead! This video has saved me a LOT of time! After watching a couple other videos, yours is the only one with actual detailed info for the stubbornest of key fobs that are determined not to come apart for new batteries! LOL Even the
batteries + and - are detailed in yours, and one other told it wrong, to put the + side up on both.

Thanks for the video! The batteries are replaced opposite each other with a plastic spacer between them.

Lifesaver!! Owners manual said to ‘slide and twist’🤷🏼‍♂️ to open the thing up. Was having no luck at all with that. You can add 2017 Mustang to list of cars this works for. Thanks much!!
