Hi Lex. You should start numbering the interviews to make it easier to understand which happened when. Also you might consider creating a second channel for clips as it is cluttering the existing channel and makes it harder to find full interviews. I get the idea of adding clips to the main channel now, but in the future it might make sense to have 2 channels

Thinking about autopilot makes me more aware of the decisions I make when tracking a roadway. I try to avoid the most worn and rough parts of the roadway, I try to avoid manhole covers because they're usually not completely level with the roadway. I'm usually driving asymmetric in a wide lane, closer to the centerline of the road, because there's likely to be one or more parked cars on the right side, also because that gives me more time to react if a car suddenly pulls out of a side street or driveway from my right.

It's cool how Elon looks at things in ways no one else looks at them or differant than how everyone looks at them

Wow, in context that makes so much sense, but without context that phrase is so backwards lol.

"Self driving cars should treat the human taking over as an error signal". There we go lol

I keep clicking on these clips even though I know I've seen it because of the alluring diagrams in the thumbnail, good job Lex

In this way autopilot could handle its own potential mistakes and errors no matter how terrible and complex. If autopilot is prepared for what a human can do behind the wheel all input as error seems like a really great design.

New to this podcast. Seeing the thumbnail, I thought Elon was being interviewed by an AI robot.

Great content, but it would be nice if it was made more clear that the conversation took place quite a while back (five months) #latertube

Imagine in the far future when all vehicles communicate to one another, to keep track of location and speed.

In situations where AP has made an error, but I haven't taken over, if I hold down the centre T on the MCU for 3 seconds, does that report an error to the be evaluated?

That’s fine if you assume the human intervention is not an error. I know at least some of mine are!

the software is there to serve the user... if user input is an error for Musk, i am not going to use his driving products.. this is how the Boeing 737 crashed too

Man I feel like I could do some great autopilot programming and algorithms if only I knew how to code 🤦‍♂️
