Acetylcholine - Synthesis, Storage, Release and binding to Receptors.

Acetylcholine is a neurotransmitter which is Synthesis by reaction between choline and acetyl CoA by a catalytic action of an enzyme called as choline acetyl transferases (ChAT). Choline and sodium ions are transferred into neuron through Choline transporter (ChT) which is a symporter and group of drugs called as hemicholiniums can inhibit it.Ach is being transferred into vesicle by a vesicle associated transporter (VAT) which is driven by efflux of protons. Its an antiporter and Vesamicol drug can inhibit it. When action potential arrives and there is influx of calcium ions then diffusion of vesicles occur to the surface membrane. And thus released into the synaptic cleft. They can be degraded by enzyme called as ACETYLCHOLINESTERASE or can bind to cholinoceptors which further proceed the neuronal signalling to next neuron. Or they can bind to acetylcholine autoreceptors which can inhibit further release of ACh from the vesicles into the synaptic cleft. Vesicles also have ATP, peptides and proteoglycans along with acetylcholine.

It well be too good if you discussed here how the vesicle fuses with the membrane. I mean the SNARE proteins I.e V. Snare and T snare.

It's AcetylcholinEsterase and not transferase.
Also, Cholinergic receptors and not Cholinoreceptors. Lot of mistakes in terminologies.
