If you're looking for convenience, TTL flash is as simple as point and shoot. But if you need consistent results shot after shot, manual flash is the way to go. Starting with a single light, Gavin shows you why you might need the TCM function and how to set it up for either one flash or multiple flashes. He then goes on the explain how TCM helps him get perfect exposure on shallow depth of field portraits using high speed sync flash in his small home studio.

I've owned my Godox gear for about a year and a half. After this video, I might actually start using the TCM function finally. This is the clearest explaination and demonstration of it that I have found. Thank you, sir!

I knew the function was there, but never tried it. But I can see now, it works. And what an awesome model, the outfit she wears makes her SO trustworthy in that ligh setup. 10 ekstra likes from me, if I could.

Thanks for the explanation on tcm function. I've always used my flash meter for this..makes it pretty straight forward. I wonder how it would work outside?
