Fast X Pitch Meeting

Step inside the Pitch Meeting that led to Fast X!

It’s been over two decades since the first Fast & Furious movie came out, a relatively low-key movie about some street racers that steal DVD players. With the franchise having gone to space in the last installment, what more is there for the Fast Family to do at this point? Just keep going on, looks like.

Fast X definitely raises some questions. Like how did they land on that title? How many people from Dom’s past are out there right now plotting revenge? What’s with the tourism stop after getting on the most wanted list? What was that ENTIRE scene with Pete Davidson??

To answer all these questions, check out the pitch meeting that led to Fast X!

John Cena is the perfect example of a boss turning useless when you unlock him as a playable character

Ryan puts more effort into Pitch Meetings than the writers for these movies

In “Back to the Future 2”, the tagline for “Jaws 19” was “ This time it's REALLY, REALLY personal."

I went into this movie fully ready to accept anything, so when that DeLorian pulled up to Dom’s house, I was fully ready to accept that they were gonna time travel😂 also in a scene where the Charger’s wheels caught fire I thought “what if this was how the MCU introduced Vin Diesel as ghost rider”

Still no clue how a franchise that started as a goofy 2000s movie about illegal street racing turned into Diet Marvel

were gonna need 20 more movies so we can get Fast XXX and it will finally be acknowledged that these 2 franchises have simply merged

"i could not care less what it's for" is something i TRULY believe the writers say when they pitch this to the studio.

"I could not care less for what its for!", sums pretty much all work ethic of today blockbuster writers up. Ryan just shows the reality here.

Driving a car down a dam would normally be ridiculous but it’s probably one of the most realistic set pieces in the whole franchise.

I like how screenwriter guy gradually admits more and more how he doesn't care

“If that’s not the promise of the premise, I don’t know what is” BRILLIANT!!! Great turn of phrase!!

Honestly, I’d be so stoked if these movies ended with Dom in a hospital bed in a coma constantly mumbling “family…. Vroom… family…” and making engine sounds and we find out that he’s been in a coma since the end of F&F when he got hit by that truck and flipped.. Brian never helped him escape because his brain was leaking on the floor so he called for help.

All of this has been the imagination of a man with severe brain damage making car noises while handcuffed to a hospital bed for dvd theft and illegal street racing.

It would make the most sense.

I remember watching them drag the safe through Rio in total disbelief in Fast Five and thinking to myself, "There’s no way these movies can get any crazier." I had no idea that was just the beginning.

I'm genuinely disappointed they didn't go for Fast 10 Your Seatbelts. That was something that community was stewing on for over a decade.

Iove how he explains all the impossible chances of Dom's Brother still being alive only to end up saying he's probably fine because Death in this franchise might as well be a joke when you've got family lmao

"Pow pow pow puaaah pow" was a great shakeup of the "wow wow wow... wow" 😂. Ryan really has this down to a science 👌🏿.

I love how Screenwriter Guy is so checked out on this one that he literally cuts off in mid pitch and thinks they're just having a conversation about how things are going. Freaking brilliant!

"What else is going on?"
"Not much. You?"
"In the movie."
"You're not in the movie."

I almost sprayed water everywhere. Ryan, you're a genius.

Hey Ryan, have you ever considered doing video game pitch meetings? That's a whole load of new material to work with.

The "Not much, you?" and "You're not in the movie..." bits were 12/10
