I'm retired at 27, went from Grace to Grace. This video here reminds me of my transformation from a nobody to good home, honest wife and 35k biweekly and a good daughter full of love.

It’s not just minor tweaks either, some of these changes could really impact how people manage their finances, especially if they’re not paying attention. I’m worried most people are going to miss out on opportunities or even get hit with penalties

Don't simply retire from something; have something to retire to. Start saving, keep saving, and stick to investments.
Building wealth involves establishing routines, like consistently setting aside funds at regular intervals for smart investments.,

Any incentive for people to payback their loans is a good thing in my eyes.

Reading some of the comments, I can't help but feel like if somebody cured cancer they would be pissed because "people now get the cure for cancer, but other people that came before didn't have it, that's not fair!"

That George Delony skit was both unsettling and interesting. Well done, editors

Happy fruitful year, I'm beyond excited! In just one week I'll be debt-free, having paid off my entire $285, 000 debt and begun a new chapter of financial freedom.

George - you’re made an incorrect statement. You said that “Until earlier this year, employers offering a 401k match could only make contributions to your retirement accounts if you were also contributing”. That’s factually inaccurate. Employers can contribute to employee 401k even if the employee does not contribute. It depends on how they structure the 401k. I worked for a company that contributed 5% to 401ks no matching required, so they do exist.

Not free money, you're earning this through an employer-employee agreement, it's a benefit of working in a competitive market with a participating employer.

As someone who never took out a brown penny of student loans, that's kind of cool so you can still have a fighting chance of retirement. That said, it probably wont matter if most companies wont implement it.

George! You are so talented. You use humor to make your details understandable. You are a comedian! Thanks

Instead of fixing the root cause of rising tuition and educating students the career field outlook for certain degrees lets just put a band aid on with attempted forgiveness and rewarding those who make poor financial choices with better 401k matches.

Student loans paid off and now all my money is mine and my investments are growing at exciting rates. I thought I would have to work into my 70’s and now I see I am going to get to choose how long I want to work into my 60’s. That feels like freedom!

If the IRS really wanted to help people with student loans, just make student loan payments 100% tax deductible.

Being debt free sometimes feels like I'm being punished.

i just signed up for this student loan program through my work. I also contribute 10% to my retirement and my company matches 10%. This is absolutely phenomenal.
