This video describes how to make Font Assets from TTF files.

Font Assets are needed to add a new font to the new Unity Text Mesh Pro scripts but it can be a bit odd to create one without prior knowledge.

A TTF file is the file type that most downloaded fonts come in and they need to be converted to Font Assets so you can use them with the Unity Text Mesh Pro scripts.
