another tip: if you've already explored the underground jungle you can find any bulbs that spawn on the map as a 2x2 pink square

When you’re making the arena, DO NOT make it too big, or you’ll teleport out of the range of Plantera, and she will despawn

I ended up using pressure pads and placed them on the ends of the teleporters so I can shoot a continuous stream of bullets. All i had to do was take a small step back instead of stopping and pulling the lever.
