Moscow terror attack: Suspects appear in court

Four gunmen suspected of carrying out the Moscow theatre massace appeared at Basmanny district court, Moscow, in various states of injury. One of the suspects, Muhammad-Sobir Faizov, 19, appeared without handcuffs and apparently unconscious on a medical chair.

They were charged with committing a terrorist attack “resulting in a person’s death”, which currently holds a maximum sentence of life in prison.

Videos purporting to show interrogations of the suspects had earlier circulated on Telegram. One of the clips appeared to show members of the security forces cutting off the ear of a man and later stuffing it into his mouth. Another shows a suspect being beaten with a rifle butt.
