After 9 months - ONE problem | Samsung Galaxy S24 Plus revisited long term review!

I've been using the Samsung Galaxy S24+ since it was launched. I consider the Galaxy S24+ to be one of the best phones of the year 2024, but it is held back by just ONE aspect. I even think the Exynos 2400 chipset in my unit is not a problem either - it performs really well!

I went from an iphone 12 to a s24+ i to was disappointed with the camera until I played around with camera assistant and setting i have now realized that when you are on camera mode before taking your shot the picture looks grainy and terrible but once you have taken your photo the photo comes out so clear in your gallery.

I don't understand the hate in exynos, there is a lot of evidence the exynos did very well. There should be a competition vs snapdragon

I have the s24 plus exynos 2400 and the only thing I would say that's bad is not the standby battery time but when you're using the phone on light apps it draws a lot more power. I have a honor phone with the same size battery in all the same apps installed and it doesn't run out as fast, and that's using a Snapdragon 765g.

Its a brilliant device. Unless you are a user who needs the best of the best, the S24+ should have all your needs covered. In an everyday scenario, it has enough battery, performance, and camera quality for most people to be happy. Although if you are particularly heavy in one department, you might want to shift. For example, if you are camera centric, you should consider the pixel lineup or a performance user can consider apples silicon as it's industry leading.

I believe that if Samsung had incorporated the same cameras as the Galaxy S24 Ultra, then it would be harder to convince people to buy the more expensive phone due to the only unique feature it would then have being the pen.

Using it for last 8 months, beautiful device. The processor is great, connectivity is good, no over heating or anything. 45W charging is really handy, charges really fast up to 70%, then it slows down. Battery back up is good.
Primary camera is great for both photo and video. 3x optical zoom is great under good lighting, but low light photos and videos are not flagship level. Ultrawide and selfie are great. I use zoom a lot, so I would appreciate a larger sensor for the zoom camera..

What are you talking about camera performance is great on these phones and the isp on the exynos variants seem to produce better looking colours than the snapdragon counterpart, the only noticeable struggle these cameras have are in night time shots and night mode shots they do produce weird looking colours innacurate to real life

I love my s24 plus exynos 2400 but I am suffering from bad reception when it come to phone calls, ppl call me and am out of reach because of it, while my old Nokia x30 never have or had this issue with old snapdragon chip in it

If Exynos is that good, why wouldn't Samsung put it on the ultra? they clearly know what they're doing. The Ultra shipping globally with snapdragon is all the proof you need. Wake up! people.

One thing that's definitely impacting Exynos performance on some games is the fact that a lot of them don't run under Vulkan. The Xclipse GPU runs OpenGL under ANGLE, impacting performance. Would be interesting to see Genshin running under Vulkan but I don't know if there's a way to do that.

I don't know about your Exynos version of the S24 Plus. I'm using the regular S24 Snapdragon and the camera is better than my S24 Ultra Snapdragon. I initially bought the S24 Ultra but because of the size I decided to buy the regular S24 and I got it on the Facebook marketplace. It took away the S24 Ultra from my pocket. If you are shooting in very strong sunlight the pictures from the S24 Ultra make greener while the S24 keeps the pictures exactly as it is. And don't forget the S24 and the S24 Plus have the same camera. If I stand at my house and take pictures of the buildings nearby, the green tint is cast on all the pictures taken from the S24 Ultra but the S24 keeps the pictures the nearest to their colors.

Any idea as to whether S24 or S24+ has the better battery performance?

I am an s24 plus user, and it is wonders . I'm a casual gamer so the heating really isn't an issue. Beside it is as smooth as butter in other daily tasks.

With preference towards bigger phone, but not Ultra-level pricing, I've pre-ordered S24+ after watching your initial test video on Genshin Impact, and after 9 months, a satisfied users for now...

Jumping to S24+ from S21FE, I'm totally feel the fears on Exynos chips... (Had to replace battery annually previously due to phone overheating)

As an on phone casual player of Genshin and Honkai Star Rail, the S24+ had serve me well for now compared to my old S21FE...(though I'm aware that that's not a very high bar to surpass...)

I have the s24 plus. Great phone. What do you want more?? I can do everything what i wanna do. It is fast, decent/good batterylife, beautiful screen, good brightness, feels good in the hand also, sound is good. Selfie camera is good, maybe not the nr 1 in it but for me good enough. Foto's and video's are also good enough, 1 if the better ones for me. Most people are not professional people, so they post it to friends and facebook/instagram and you have quality loss.

What can be better?
Maybe 65/80 watt charging and 5x zoom camera, now it is 3x.

Yes, it can always better but how many people does need it???

Many people buy a phone for 250-450€ and they say it is a good phone, happy they say.

So i you have the plus model ;). You are good, not the best best, but good enough in and for everything.

The exynos is no problem by the s24 plus.

I have the base variant but with snapdragon. Im still loving it. I have no complaints about the camera although it sucks that its not optimized for instagram and other apps. Thats why it seems like iphone looks better on social media. Its more app bias towards iphone rather than actual image quality
