Why We are Sending our Son to Boarding School!!!
When we first found out about our son's hearing loss, we felt an immense amount of worry and we had so many questions about what life would look like for our family. Mainly because there was no history of hearing loss in either side of our families and we didn't have any Hard of Hearing/Deaf friends either. In fact, most babies who are born with hearing loss, are born to hearing parents. This was one of the reason we have been sharing Neo's hearing loss journey, in hopes that his story will inspire other families going through a similar experience. From the beginning we have always wanted to provide Neo with the most resources and opportunities to hear, so when we learned about Cochlear Implants we knew that it would be the best decision we could make for him. Fast forward to today, it's been almost 2 years since Neo's bilateral cochlear implant surgery and we finally have the opportunity to spend two weeks in a summer camp with other families who have children with some form of hearing loss. We look forward to learn more about different ways we can continue to support Neo in his speech development and we can't wait to share this experience with you all.

I am amazed at the progress he has made I grew up with a kid in the early 70s that could not hear he is in his 50s now and still can not talk and Neo is talking and can hear its amazing how far technologys have came in helping with hearing impaired children go Neo you have this beat

The school sounds great! He's so sweet and it looks like he picks up good. My son has cerebral palsy and when he was young he was in a special needs preschool and his brother got to join too. They learn so much from each other and the children without the "needs" understand differences in others so much more
