NASA kicks off first-of-its-kind mission by crashing spacecraft into asteroid #shorts

The mission is designed to test whether NASA will one day push a potentially dangerous asteroid off its path towards Earth.

The Asteroid broke apart (exploded) into 7 major pieces.
I saw it explained as basically a giant clump of Gravel held together by gravity. Which is now 7 asteroids + thousands of tiny gravel asteroids.😐
