Many thanks for this - I couldn’t get it to work for love nor money but through watching your video I realised a reboot/gpupdate was required post configuration!

Really works, I can connect using python ldap3, just enable port 636 on azure virtual machine.

This is a great start for me! Thank you!!
I seem to have missed something. The video is dealing with a Windows Server that isn't configured for LDAP. so that's what I did. ???
Is the video based on creating the key on the local server or a remote server being selected at the beginning or does it matter?
Also, I'm not sure what format the "server name" should be in "ldp".
Combined not having LDAP configured and trying various server names - don't get the expected result.

Thanks! This worked great on Windows Server 2022 as well! Subscribed. A lot of other videos had so many other steps!

is it the LDAP (port 389) without SSL still can be used after this setting? I will need to connect both 636 and 389 port also if possible

Thank you for this video. Can you tell me if there are any pre-requirements for this and if this can potentially break anything in the domain? Thank you.

It's working only for the localhost! When I try to connect from my lan don't access.

Is this the same method if we have a separate CA server and SSL signed from third party vendor?
