This was a beautiful video, jazakallahu khairan. It really resonated with me and reinforced the path I was thinking of taking because I noticed that now that I've gotten a decent number of surahs memorized and I'm starting to move into the longer ones, it is more difficult to retain them. I was feeling pressure to move quickly because that seems to be the general attitude around hifz but my heart was not in that approach at all. Alhamdulillah this video helped me recalibrate to a better path.

I must ask, how can we implement the method of the companions in that we apply the verses in our lives. Should I go as far as to memorize the tafseer, or is it enough to read it once and write down my actionable steps? Should I limit myself to one page until I understand how to implement it, or can I move on to the next after simply contemplating the first page? Jazzaka Allahu Khairan for your response in advance.

1 suggestion for video editing akhi. Mute the clips which don’t require any dialogue or audio (like b-roll shots of you reading Quran) as these clips have background humming that is very disruptive & distracting for viewer
