Firefighters cut rings from Shanghai woman’s seven swollen fingers

A 70-year-old woman went to the hospital in Shanghai to get the nine rings on her seven fingers removed after she failed to dislodge them herself.

The woman, who was not named, had worn the ill-fitting rings for a long time causing her fingers to be swollen.

Seems like all those rings were a waste of money. If you’re going to go out of your way buying jewellery after already having rings cut off your fingers, you’d think you’d want to go a little further and get properly sized rings.
