In a time of forgiving and giving thanks, a reverend and his family take in a troubled boy named Mason after having lost a son of their own. It's a bumpy ride for Mason, butting heads with his new step-brother and the church counselor he's sentenced to see on a weekly basis. However, with and a renewed faith and a deeper understanding of Thanksgiving traditions, Mason must not only learn to forgive himself, but to understand the true meaning of family.

This was a fairly decent Christian movie. I have to be honest that I find many if not most Christian films to be intolerable. In many cases it is because it feels like the films are trying to sell you something rather than tell a good story. It often forces a seemingly ingenuine formulaic "accept the Lord into your heart" prayer which can even ruin a good film. But with this one the conversion was shown as more individualized and not forced.

I did find a few of the lines in the movie to be silly and unnatural. For example, Nate first states to his parents that they are just replacing Jack, and then in the next scene he says that a friend told him that they were just trying to replace Jack. It was like the director forgot about the previous scene. However, no movie is going to be perfect. Overall, the acting and story were heart warming. I highly recommend it.

Pretty good movie. But in the name of **Jesus, is my thoughts. I know people may come and say Jesus and God are one, and I agree but I was in Hope's that they use the name of Jesus more, cause no man can come to the father except thru THE SON, Jesus (john 6:44). Oh well, I said what I said.
