Lol I have almost 300 hours and I had no idea burner inserters feed themselves coal.

Love the tutorial style of this play through- can’t wait for trains. Keep up the good work!

Another well done Tuplex Tutorial, I thought I would put out there for the new players that even though the burner inserters are convenient they require over 7x the fuel and pollution which although not significant in the later game, it can be in the beginning. I typically don't even use burner inserters, I will hand feed until I get power up.

One note about car trunks is that you can Ctrl/Shift click items in and out of a car and it knows you mean to use the trunk and not fuel/ammo. Inserters can also pick and pull from the trunk of a car which comes in handy if you use sulfuric acid barrels at a remote uranium mining outpost (just be sure to use long-handed inserters so it's easier to drive up to without crashing into them)

I keep watching these, following along on a fresh run to learn the mechanics more. I appreciate how thorough you are with this tutorial. This gives me a much better idea of how to run the production process. Having done crazy spaghetti everywhere it was getting wild and crazy to keep things efficient.

Great series so far, always learn a few new tidbits every time even though I have played many hours. One small item to fix, your top grenade assembler isn't getting any material, the belt needs to be extended to reach the inserter.

As an aid in steering a car, there is a mod for that: VehicleSnap, which IMHO should be a toggle option in vanilla. Great series, wonderful information. As far as the biters go, this is a Tutorial, why not a lesson(s) on biter destruction?

Hm. I'm really surprised that you didn't place the wall assembler directly below the science pack assembly machines. It would've kept the footprint a little nicer (reducing horizontal tiles used by 5).

when i try to add the copy/paste/deconstruction.. etc to my bottom bar, it says i need certain robotics technologies researched, but you are running a new playthrough without any research to start. Do i need to have them researched at least once to have it persist through new games?

I'm wondering what size your concrete grid is and how did you decide on it and some of that stuff cuz I'm actually a bit past where you are but looking at redoing the base from the ground-up kind of in a more designed fashion
