Yeah I've had to show a builder why to many nails is worse than the right amount
6 nails each size may be weaker than 2 if it were a smaller bit of timber

The only reason to lower the ridge beam would be to have it exposed inside for aesthetics

Dunno if 6 nails was absolutely necessary, compared to the 2 indicated by the engineers. It would definitely cost a lots more for the extra nails

Nothing scary then working on wet slippery wood with sharp tools and nail guns lol but it’s so fun!

I stayed confused on insulation. If it's insulated tight to the roof deck does it need ventilation there? Or is that just spray foam? Are you using baffles and Batts? I hate not understanding
