I love your channel. Your approach to make up is fab. Breaking down make up to the ingredients and teaching us what the chemicals are. And how our skin uses and reacts to them is so intersting for me. But, and there is a big but I don't agree with mineral oil being used this way. My research has shown that there are too many negatives. I know the majority of users had terrible skin thru long term usage 20+ years. I truly believe mineral oil does not benefit our skin in the long term. And its too late for some unless you want to go the plastic surgery route.

please google if castor oil contains ricin, or if the extraction process the same as refining crude mineral oil. the comparison is misleading.

I think castor oil is safer because it is a plant base oil when compared to mineral oil which is from crude oil. I don't know what prompt me to mix mineral oil with my lotion and rub on my skin but did and a few minutes later my arms and legs start having a burning sensation. Now that could have caused from the mixture, I don't know but I won't be doing that again.

Here are 4 important tips to follow while using mineral oil:
1. Don't inhale mineral oil it can lead to pneumonia
2. Don't use mineral oil and stool softener at the same time
3. Don't use mineral oil during pregnancy it can lead to bleeding problems in your baby
4. Don't use mineral oil 2 hours or less prior to mealtime

I don't get what does it offer more than any other occlusives like shea butter, beeswax, ....etc?
Why to use it in the first place?, because its a cheap choice for skincare companies?
I never find products with mineral oil or petrolatum nourishing or moisturizing to the skin

When using occlusive ingredients eg mineral oil or petroleum is to makesure skin is well cleanser other wise dirty and pollution trapped under that occlusive product and is a breathing ground for bacteria. I would love to know your view on rosacea and mineral oil, some say with create more reddness as traps heat?
