I have dry, very sensitive, hyperactive, rosacea type 1 skin. I use mineral oil first as a moisturizing barrier for my face then a water based cleanser. Here's the deal. Rosacea skin has a compromised, weak acid mantle. I NEED the moisture to keep it in tact. The film left behind leaves my skin more comfortable. I don't do well with a squeaky clean face at all.

Can we apply some in our hair as a leave in? I’ve tried doing this with my other skin creams and it’s doing the trick

But if you use mineral oil on your face too often to lock that moisture and create a barrier, your skin stops doing this function by itself, doesn't it? Like with lip balms?

It’s important to know that everything you watch on the internet is true. I don’t think mineral oil is good for your skin. I’m not a dermatologist or a doctor so it’s Important for people to research it. Especially if you use it everyday.
