Delete Every Nth Row Quickly - Excel Tips

In this video, we quickly delete every nth row from a list. Using some ingenuity and brilliant Excel functionality we delete every 3rd row from a list.

As long as there is a pattern to the data that you work with. Such as alternate rows, or every 5th row. We can quickly identify and delete them.

Thank you so much. I found this video after wasting my 1.5 hrs of searching. All the videos mostly ended with deleting blank rows only. But looking for options for deleting "n-th row" only. I organized my numbers with - x, y, y, y, y, y, z and then deleted all with "y". Man, it was amazing. Great help. Thanks again. Stay fine.

I have looked up so many video's on YouTube about deleting a certain row and nobody has given a real way to delete maybe edit. Also this is by far one of the easiest methods. 140 thousand rows and I deleted every 5th row in a few clicks and a little bit of patience for Excell to get it done. I did have trouble copying the helper character sequence to so many rows. None of my usual "End" of column keyboard jumps worked with dragging a sequence of cells. I just dragged the curser as far down as possible (to the next screen in this case). It got very fast. Was there a better way?
