The sliding doors can house hard to clean grime and even mold so it has to be easily removable

I also recommend refraining from using transparent glass in favor of texturized flass. It will let the light pass and even allow to see a silouette of a person without precise detail and will make watermarks less visible.

Putting the toilet tank in the wall sounds like a terrible idea to me. Every few years i have to take the lid off and repair the flush mechanisms. Im glad i dont have to bust into the wall

Traditional bathrooms have real vanities with drawers, cabinets and maybe a linen closet.

Traditional bathrooms actually offered vanities with several drawers. It’s the impractical pedestal sink craze that has caused a lack of space. The over sink medicine cabinet is a great idea but not too deep as it becomes difficult to clean underneath. Also too many mirrored doors create more cleaning. And are you serious about the blinds on the big window in the shower area? I’m guessing these ideas are for people who have cleaning staff.

This suffers from having to constantly clean the large cabinet doors with mirrors= fingerprint magnets, a difficult to service sink and toilet and plenty of grooves on the shower floor where dirt and hair and soap residue will be difficult to remove from . But some ideas are good. I would also use a polycarbonate shower separator wall and a shower curtain for the door.

That shower design is awful wtf 😕 space for bottles should not be behind the shower stream and having a huge window right there is wrong on so many levels. Sliding doors can never be fully cleaned properly and they shouldn't run all the way to the ceiling?! And that floor will be a pain in the arse to clean.

The storage issue in bathrooms can be easily solved with shelfs or cabinets above the toilet, under the sink, and on the opposite wall. It's really not complicated. At all.

The REAL problem with bathrooms that I've yet to see be proactively addressed is the huge amount of moisture that gets generated. One little fan above the toilet is NOT enough to keep humidity low and prevent mold growth. We need more innovative solutions. We need to start seeing dehumidifiers built into showers or something.

Yep. Removing the glass door and then putting a new one back in will definitely take care of the water stains issues. Until your next shower that is.

lowering the floor is easier to say than to do. I often see people have to do opposite in the shower and raise the floor to be able to drain the water, especially in multi-storey buildings

Suspended toilets are a clear no from me. They are normally too high which makes them uncomfortable, and it just makes me worry they won’t support the weight (I know they will 90% of the time but having the option of traditional toilets I wouldn’t risk it)

i want to totally redesign bathrooms. my partner and I want our own toilet. we envision an area where there are 2 separate toilets. If there is enough room a toilet and a small handwashing sink. In between the 2 1/2 baths would be the shared bathing/shower area.
