Is Andy's Cowboy Camp in Monsters University? - Pixar Theory

So what do you think? Is Andy's Cowboy Camp the camp Mike stumbles into in Monsters University? Is Bonnie's mum the one who runs the Cowboy Camp? Or am I grasping at straws? Let me know your thoughts down in the comments!

As I said in the video, there isn't as much evidence for this theory as I would have liked, but I still really wanted to share it with you and at the end of the day if you're not grasping at straws are you even making theories?

I legitimately thought the camp was an orphanage

Hey Seamus, I have a good question!

In the Chamber of Secrets, Harry is bitten by the basilisk. Later, we learn that Basilisk fangs destroy horcruxes. My question is: Why didn't the Horcrux inside Harry get destroyed

Like so Seamus can see!

I actually really like this theory. One of the biggest criticisms the Pixar theory gets is that, as more and more films come out, it’s harder to connect them so it seems “too far fetched” and “unrealistic” but I think that’s become part of the fun. Finding a way to fit together these seemingly unrelated stories. A theory isn’t made because it MUST BE TRUE, it was made because it makes the movies more enjoyable and it gives purpose and incentive to the easter eggs hidden within the universe. Whether you believe it or not, the Pixar theory is there because it makes seeing the films more fun and it’s one of the reasons I like Pixar so much. I thoroughly enjoyed this theory and it’s something I’ll keep in mind next time I watch the toy story films and monsters university because it adds dimension and relevance to everything that happens in both movies. So thank you for sharing your findings, Seamus.

This is why I subscribed to Seamus. Gotta love his dedication and love for Pixar. And the fact that he flew to America TWICE to watch newly released Pixar movies is just absolutely fun to watch. More power, bruh 😅👍

It could also be the "Summer Camp" that Sid went to as mentioned by Rex in Toy Story 1.

Hey Seamus, If you look at the woman standing next Bonnies mum in the scene where the cops show up at the camp on the left side there is a woman that looks exactly like Andys mum holding the hand of a younger girl with blonde hair that could be Andys sister. They could be at the camp to check on Andy and see if he was okay. Thank you for reading this, I love your videos so much and keep up the good work.

I never understand how people like you come up with these theories 😂

I'd love to see if any of the kids at the camp match up to the kids at Andy's birthday party in the first Toy Story

I love this theory! I actually think there's more evidence, too.
Like:
1.) his quick acceptance of the green aliens ("the claaaw....") because of their similarities to mike, who he doesn't fully remember, but does slightly.
2.) Why bonnie's mom remember's Andy as a child and has to be caught up.
3.) Andy's affinity for red, yellow and/or plaid: his sheets, woody, jesse, etc...
4.) His familiarity with Bonnie's house and trust that she would take care of the toys, as her mom was one of the people that helped take care of him.
and more...
but i also think that lil boy from the incredibles ("That was totally wicked!") went to the camp...and that their rival camp was where Russell (UP) went, syndrome's tech eventually became the basis for Doug's (UP) talk box, Eve and etc...(Wall-E), and more...

Seamus: I’m not gonna say it’s perfect
Seamus 2019 in Pixar tier list: puts it in perfect tier

Id like to think it’s true but no camp would ever allow a guy to room with girls where it is clearly seen most of them are girls with the others most likely being so too. So maybe it is, andys could just be in a different cabin

I love Monsters University. It’s one of the extremely rare kids’ films that doesn’t have the trite, sappy message that “you can have whatever you want” or “you can be whatever you want to be if you just work hard enough.” It’s a lovely sentiment, but it’s not reality. I agree that hard work is needed for success, but hard work doesn’t always equal success. I love that Mike doesn’t end up being the best scarer. I love that even though he worked the hardest and had the most knowledge, he didn’t get what he wanted. It has a realistic ending so rare in children’s cinema. Mike still continues to work hard and moves up through the ranks at Monsters Inc. He ends up finding his real strength in being a coach. Sometimes we find our true gifts aren’t what we originally wanted, but once found, we can excel and find joy in what we do.
