Thunder Road: See A-10s land on a Michigan highway

A-10 Thunderbolts took off and landed on a local highway recently in a first-of-its kind exercise hosted by the Michigan Air National Guard.

Does the USA expects war on homesoil by any chance? Why they are practice these type of manouvers? Suspicious.

That is good for them to get that type of training since they may have to operate from roads in enemy territory for landing, refueling, re-arming, and takeoff from.

Landing on highways is common in other countries. But first time i have heard of US military doing it in the lower 48.

I don't by it. Since they announced the rocket base here in the U.P. the fly overs have started and are been growing. Why you would lunch anything like that this far north, seems wrong. This all started after announcement of space force.
