I don’t know if this was ideal but

I was at a zoo and he emus weren’t caged just with a fence. There was a really friendly one that let me and my dad pet it on one condition. We had to approach it slowly and make sure it saw our hand, then just stroked its neck and pet it. Very cute emu. I will remember that. My dad did a “demonstration” (pretty sure he did it being a bit silly.) and he went in fast and the emu nipped him! I love that emu.

I bought my first Emu...named it Blue. It is 2 weeks old.

They are native to Australia and we pronounce their breed “eemyoo”, not emoo lol. Sounds funny from your accent, but they look happy there.
I had a wild one race me whilst I was driving an open country road, so close I could reach out and touch it through the open, car window. It kept up with me for a few minutes at 50mph.
