Ok but can we PLEASE acknowledge cassowaries for a second? Not only do they have crests similar to some dinosaurs, and have feathers like them, but they also use their crests in a similar way to ornithischian dinosaurs ( amplifying their calls).

Remember people, all birds may be dinosaurs, but not all dinosaurs are birds

Cassowarys fighting is the closest thing to velociraptors in the wild.

Emus are probably the nicest of the big birds.

And that’s without even looking at their dinosaur feet!

They came at us. We went right back at them... and lost :(

Around 60 million years ago, when the dinosaurs died out, a group of birds adapted to living more on land than their airborne relatives. These would be known as the Rattites:
Emu of Australia
Cassowary of New Guinea
Rhea of South America
Kiwi of New Zealand
Ostrich of Africa

And that’s why it’s so freaky to watch a video of an Emu with the zoomies. Imagine a T-Rex w/ the zoomies?!😮

Cassowary is even more dinosaur-looking!

So this confirms that some dinosaurs were unbelievably stupid

My father in law has some emus on his farm, and some got loose several years ago. They got most of 'em back, but one is still running around loose in Wisconsin.

Their eggs are big and DARK GREEN! They make BIG omelets. Some local guy buys the eggs, empties them through a tiny hole and carves them into beautiful sculptures! Search Google Images for "emu egg sculptures" if you're curious to see what I mean.

I think the sounds of an emu would be closer to the sounds dinosaurs would have made as well...

Cassowaries are definitely a Dino and would not like to be anywhere near one.

I just look at bird and reptile eyes. Pure dinosaur evolution. Not all perished

Can we include secretary birds on this list of bada$$ birds that kill first and don’t even bother asking questions later? 😂

Observe a chicken. You needn't go so far as an emu.
