This is the problem with having public videos that let others know of GOOD solutions...You receive a thumbs down with no explanation. Windows 10 Pro does NOT allow disabling the store via GPO, only Windows 10 enterprise and education versions allow that...therefore this is a great solution! Thank you :)

OMG thank you so much. I been trying to figure this out the last 4 days. I was trying to figure out how to uninstall the app but that didn't work. This is a better way and I could push it out using GP to all my machines. Keep up the great job.

YOU ARE MY FUCKING HERO!!!

At first I thought you were talking about the AppLocker; this - like the GPO to disable the store completely - won't work for NON enterprise/education versions.

But this uses a different GPO namely "Software Restriction" ("Richtlinien für Softwareeinschränkungen" in German), and this DOES WORK in only the pro-version!

This. Is. Great. :-)

thanks for this solution. can we deploye this parameter with a batch file that will add the restriction in the gPO? or is there a registry key that do the same thing?

This works great. I want to apply it to an OU where we have Windows 7 Pro machines as well but I am worried that this will cause the W7 machines to go crazy??

This works great in Win 10. Trying it in Win 11 but despite the fact that the store is in the same path in Win 11, it doesn't work. Any ideas?? Thx!

Works perfectly in the very latest version of Windows 10 Pro (in 2023) but not at all in Windows 11 Pro. Does anyone have any suggestions? I note that the following apps are in installed these folders:

But doesn't work (??)
