What are you talking about? He's fantastic. I agree with you that he's not quite giving off the the gorgeously "mellow vibe" of the original- but I think his idea of adding some energy to the track worked out well.

This doesn't sound to me like it would make a good THEME -- rather, it'd be best suited for background music. Even the working title -- "Run, James, Run" -- implies that it might have been intended to be used as incidental music.

Who's this knucklehead playing the guitar? He gets none of the nuance. Listen to the original, it's gorgeous. Love the sax solo!
