As an Aussie I fully support this, we need unity in these trying times!

Hello I am Canadian, Canzuk before annexation !!!

As a Canadian, I not only support this idea, but have been watching it come together piece by piece over the past few years. The CPTPP is a trade agreement that all four countries are a part of, providing a solid trade basis. If the immigration issues were resolved, I, as a Canadian could better access the Southeast Asia market by setting up a business, or branch of an existing one, in Australia and/or New Zealand. Likewise, the other countries could take advantage of the Canadian, US Mexico agreement (CUSMA - formerly NAFTA) by setting up in Canada. UK has access to European markets and, being so close, could cut down shipping fees for products giving CANZUK a competetive advantage. All of our countries are building up our military strength by purchasing destroyers, submarines, fighters and other equipment. This looks like CANZUK is getting ready to show the world a global projection of power, which is one hallmark of a superpower.

I am all for this.

Also, about the negatives: The distance isn't really a factor. China has been shipping all over the world in the past few decades so that really is a non-issue. The migration issues Britain will face will likely be short lived if there is more prosperity, which CANZUK is meant to bring.

We need to get this done faster, though.

As a Brit I really think this should happen.

The idea seems okay, but as an Australian I cannot trust a British government to doing the right thing, they stabbed us in the back in the 1970s when they joined the European common market, abandoning the Commonwealth, Australia suffered badly with a lack of market for its produces, until we look to Asia for our new partners, be very aware Britain only looks after its own interests.

This should happen with the capital being London and the Flag being the Union Flag, but with an emblem in the middle depicting a maple leaf.

I personally believe this needs to happen especially in these uncertain times.

in the world where We are living in a post Brexit Britain and post Pandemic world and WW3 looks like it’s a possibility.

We Brits and our fellow Anglo brethrens in Canada Australia New Zealand. should return to splendid isolation and preferential trade.

Infact heck why not make it CANZUKSA (Ik it sounds not as good) by throwing South Africa to the mix in order to complete the old dominions. 🇬🇧🇳🇿🇦🇺🇨🇦🇿🇦

It's a very interesting idea. As an Englishman who was happy in the Common Market but later voted to leave the EU, I wouldn't be opposed to the idea of joining an organisation similar to what the EEC was and those are the exact countries I would pick. However I think Canada, Australia and New Zealand might want to consider whether such an organisation might be dominated by the UK, as the EU is by France and Germany. The UK has almost as many people as the other 3 countries put together and larger GDP and military. As you mention, a lot of the free movement might be emigrating Brits.

The capital could be bermuda to keep things fair. Just like eu and nato headquarters are in belgium. We could expand the island and make some money out of it 🇬🇧 🤝 🇨🇦 🇦🇺 🇳🇿

This sounds like a great idea let’s make it happen

As a Brit-Aussie, I fail to see where we are going to put more people. It looks like half of Britain want to move to Australia and we don't have housing for us, let alone them.

Britain forfeited any real influence over Australia at the governmental level in 1942. There are plenty of Australian historians who can fill you in on the strained relationship between Churchill and his Australian counterparts throughout WWII. The USA has been Australia's most important ally ever since Churchill declared that we were on our own.
MacMillan, Wilson and Heath also didn't take any notice of Australian and NZ complaints over East of Suez and the end of Commonwealth Trade Preference in the 60s and 70s.
These days Australians and NZ just don't see any value in such an alliance with a European country which prioritised its interests in Europe to our detriment throughout the 20th century.

As an Aussie, I remember the unofficial polls when Mary from Tasmania married the Danish heir to the throne, that a majority of Australians would have said yes to dropping the UK monarchy and taking up with the Danish monarchy instead. If we'd done that, now instead of this awkward attachment to post-Brexit UK, we'd have a solid in with the EU.
Australia already happily participates in Eurovision. We have citizens hailing from every country in the world and we value everyone's cultural contribution, but a solid majority of our citizens locate their ancestry or at least part of it somewhere in Europe - not just the UK, but all over continental Europe as well. We have whole suburbs where the shops are signposted in Italian, or Greek, as well as in English, and whole rural districts where the farm lanes all have German family names on them.
We're very comfortable having close alliances with NZ, Canada, and the UK, but what we really need is partnership with the EU. Let EU citizens come to Australia as easily as NZ citizens make themselves at home, and build on the foundations of easy travel and trade we've already established.

Honestly considering how bad the arguments are on how CANZUK wont work, im starting to consider that maybe it'll take a while for it to finally be implemented.

They don't trade a lot with each other. So what? Why wouldn't four small countries what to unite into a superpower?

The rhird pillar of rhe West, and second in the Pacific, would be a Federation of Spanish speaking states in the Americas, from México to Argentina: 430 million people and open to the Pacific. Europe and Brazil are out from the Pacific

The US represents 70 % of the population, and 80 % of GDP, from the whole Anglosphere, so perhaps Australian states and Canadian provinces and British regions, just would be given representation in the U.S. Congress

Just imagine what if it was from (CANZUK Canada, Australia, New Zealand, United Kingdom) changed its name to (CANZUKUS Canada, Australia, New Zealand, United Kingdom, United States) but unless if the Letter (A) is added on the end THEN it would &/or will become (CANZUKUSA Canada, Australia, New Zealand, United Kingdom, United States America) as its very new name & that would be a Very Good idea of course.
