I had a poster of this bike on my bedroom wall when I was 14. I'm 47 now, and this has always been my dream bike. Thank you for showing us this.

When this bike came out it was the sickest looking thing on the market. Gorgeous.

Put a big smile on my face. I remember always thinking how big those looked in the pits. Then pulling up to the starting gate on my Honda and one of these lined up next to me and thinking " damn that still looks big". I never owned one myself but I remember being 16 and evey old dude in the old timers class had one.

She's beautiful! I'm getting misty. That bike is so far ahead of its time, it could race to the first turn and win 37 years later. A true classic.!

Those were the baddest bikes on the planet man...still are in my book! I raced 250 expert class from mid-70’s to 81 and the open class was dominated by that mother right there...a good friend had one and I loved riding it. 🤘🤘🤘

😍😍
Beautiful !
Takes me back to my youth, I had a 250, 440 and 490 Maico.
Moved onto a CR480, then went road racing.
Soooo wish I'd held onto one of the Maico's

Just got my 1993 Kawasaki kx250 two stroke and I love it. Been riding for only a year and a half. Went from a 2003 Yamaha TTR 150 to the kx250. Will never go back to a four stroke.

Brings tears to my eyes, and good memories. I was a flag boy at MX 338 when these were new, and I always loved the looks and the sound of those beautiful 80's Maicos. Beautiful bike!!! Thank you for sharing that beautiful restoration👍
