I know that everybody loved the Maico. I thought the single shock was a load of turds. And Maicos look like they were built in someone's shed. I'd take the Suzuki in a heartbeat over a Maico

I used to have a 490 back then I didn't even know what i had i got it for helping my old biker landlord clean up one of his properties he had about 15 of them and piles of parts i rode it up my back stairs to scare my old lady a single flight 2 stories high and when I got to the top i hit the brakes and the whole thing collapsed and I broke my ankle and the bike would never start again and I sold it for scrap along with a extra motor my landlord gave me to get it going i get so mad when I think about it but in the late 90s nobody wanted them
