In this video, we take a look at an old-fashioned gold farm using the newer method of bulk-haunting sand into soul sand instead of utilizing clay to generate gold. This farm is designed vertically with items coming out of chutes at the bottom after each step. However, we also explore a conveyor-belt version of the same farm that consumes about 3000 less Stress Units (SU) when running at full 256 RPM speed. The vertical farm uses 12000 SU, while the horizontal farm uses only 9000 SU. We go through the step-by-step process of the farm and explain the yield ratio, which is 12% for netherrack and 2% for gold nuggets. Though it's not the most productive farm, it's good for generating multiple items, including gold, from only cobblestone. Doesn’t washing soul sand give less gold than red sand? Or is the whole purpose to be as small as possible while sacrificing that gold rate?

I built this in a create modpack and I can't get the crushers to crush, the cobble isn't going into the chute...whats the trick to getting large amounts of items through a crushing wheel? i've got good power and a speed control so I can turn it up as much as I want????
