Thank you for showing off my farm again! One note though, portal spam farms still work in 1.20, just not for wither skeletons or blazes or endermen, but zombified piglins can still spawn in nether portals, which actually made the portal spam farm faster. Also i designed a new farm that im working on a tutorial for now that gets 5200 gold blocks per hour 😂

as a workaround for the first design being patched, you can just raise the killing platforms high enough for the zombie piglins to survive on 1 health, then you can kill them all in one sweep. this means you can also use looting on them

*Important Note*
Gold farms using portals aren't working on multiplayer unless other players are in the same dimension as you or in the end (if you're the only player on the server, the farm will work as well)

I have a super insane gold farm design that produces 3300+ gold blocks per hour, but is not too hard to build. It only needs one player with a looting sword to operate.

i put the gold farm by ianxofour in the beginner category because of the reason you gave for why you put it in the intermediate category.

ian’s tutorial teaches you how to properly link up the nether portals so that it works first time. the only reason it could be in the intermediate category is if you are using immersive portals mod (i believe that is the correct name) as that makes syncing portals in between the two dimensions a pain

The farm at 1:00 if expandable, you just place more of the same towers 5 blocks from each other. Much like the creeper farm.

FYI, the first farm does not work in 1.21, due to mob attack range changes. The golem can't reach the zombie pigmen, so they don't get angry. That means they drop less and they don't drop XP.

Beyond that, angry zombie pigmen _never_ drop gold ingots. They drop only nuggets, swords, and rotten flesh. The only way to get ingot drops is to kill them yourself. I had a similar farm in my 1.19/1.20 world, which was really good for fast XP and moderate gold (even had smelters hooked up to melt the swords for more). There were zero ingot drops.

I made the dashpum gold farm awhile ago and it’s so insane and only took me like 3 hrs to build if you have a bunch of automatic farms which you can gather the materials then this farm is a must for endgame

I absolutely love the gold farm design from Ianexofour. Because it is very productive and easy to build. I always use it to enchant my Armour and tools in a new world. It's a bit tricky to get the obsidian and the turtle egg, but in my experience it is real good to get xp and you also get gold as an bonus.
