British Army Challenger 2 tanks display firepower alongside allies

**This report was filmed prior to the missile strike in Poland**

British Challenger 2 tanks have been showing off their firepower alongside allies in Poland.

For the last three weeks, troops from A Squadron Queen’s Royal Hussars have been practising joint manoeuvres with soldiers from the US, Poland, Hungary, Slovakia, and the Czech Republic - 1,700 troops are involved in total.

Impressive, but we don't have nearly enough Challenger 2s. Just look at the attrition rates in Ukraine and it shows you need both quality and quantity

Problem is that UK total tank forces have only 250 units and due to be further reduced to 148 units next year. 30 years ago there were several thousand!

When one talks of how these battle groups intend to deal with the Russians if they ever dared to come up against the modern battle tank, for me its their ability to just sit back, day or night in defensive positions utilising their state of the art image intensifiers and log range gun control systems and basically have a turkey shoot !
