Huawei P Smart Review: Serious deja-vu

The Huawei P Smart is coming to the UK in February as a Vodafone exclusive. We review this mid-range mobile, which shares smartphone DNA with the likes of the Honor 7X, Honor V10 and Mate 10 Pro, to see if it's solid value for money.

I got this phone
Its powerful, useful and very very fast

With the Honor 9 lite now selling in the UK for £159 (Carphone Warehouse) and the P Smart still at £199 on UK Amazon, eBay or Tesco, its a "no-brainer" for people in the UK (and Geordie-land !).
Essentially they're the same phone except that the Honor 9 has a snazzy all glass build (very slippery) and has the same dual lens arrangement on the front as well as back, so better in the photo area.
Amazing what you can buy nowadays for a "throwaway" price - no need to worry about protective cases, nasty screen protectors, or losing the phone when you've had one bevvy too many ... unlike having a flagship device costing £500 - 900 which I'd be paranoid about !

Huawei seem to have stopped you moving apps to the micro SD card which is very frustrating

You said it has bad speakers, while it has one of the best, loudest and most "full" sounding speakers in that price range (and even blows away many flagships, especially those with water res), and you recommended plugging in headphones in one of the worst devices for that on the market - measures extremely poorly, has a lot of "hiss" (background noise or whatever you wanna call it) which can be so loud even on earphones with normal sensitivity, and has insane low freq boost around 150 hz by default that ruins the sound. The headphone jack on this phone is literally unusable, just like it's predecessor P10 Lite (that I own atm). Anyways I was confused with some things in the review since it's exact opposite.

Should I upgrade my galaxy S6 to this? Is it faster ram / processor? S6 still tends to out do low end phones..

Between this and the Honor 9 Lite (what is a few quid cheaper) which phone can give me a battery life (in normal/general use) easily for a full day, a camera that shows natural/true to life photos with faster autofocus, less oversaturated photos & better low light) & with some form of electronic stabilization, app loading with almost zero refresh, louder speakers which I can hear in a bus or London Tube and a great sunlight legibility? (Unlike my old P8 Lite) and would you say updates are as quick/slow as other Android OEMs? And is there a dark theme that u can apply to the phone even on the Settings? Quick GPS lock?

my name is Christos  

On the 28/4/2018 I bought a p smart  

After some time I started noticing that it was bent at a angle.  The phone was always in a protective case and was NEVER  put in any pocket!  I took it for it to be checked!  The Greek service department informed me ( forgot to mention that the phone was working very well no problem at all)  that it is out of warranty and they are charging me 150€ for repairs  !! I am very disappointed about that and not acceptable from a company that has such quality phone to lose customers!
