We added common milkweed to our garden in several locations around the house. They do travel but are so easy to pull up where I no longer want them. A funny thing happened where our milkweed traveled under our neighbor’s lawn and came up in their flower bed. They’re both teachers and enjoyed this opportunity to learn more about monarch butterfly life cycle. I apologized and offered to pull them up from their flower bed but they seemed to like them enough to leave them. I like how plants travel to their preferred spot and sometimes best not to fight it. Thx for educating the public of important uses of native plants. Very practical video nicely done!

Thanks for the video, great to see mature plants. I finally found a male inkberry for my females and next year should have berries! Only the folks on this channel would understand my joy.

Thank you Lourdes & Native Plant Channel <3 You've been a critical source of knowledge and encouragement on my journey to host the most rocking pollinator party in town!!! I've added plants I never would have known about, and now understand much more about the plants I have. We have a small lot, but I'm making the most of it- its becoming more garden than lawn and we love it!!! And, of course, so do our little pollinating guests :) You're helping more than you'll ever know, thanks again

Great Information. I bought an elderberry shrub many years ago, planted it on the boarder between me and my neighbor and that shrub has spread into many shrubs, covering the area that is not used by neither of us, but the whole area is loaded with flowers and later on with berries. The birds are there until they are all gone. Her chickens love them also.

Thank you for addressing "sentimental" plants and non native plants that are wildlife powerhouses, like the feverfew. It's often scary for people to think their beautiful non-native gardens have got to be pulled up. I always tell people just to replace existing plants, trees and shrubs with native ones.
