It will never end because narcissists are the ones who get promoted. They are supported by the management who also tend to be narcissistic.

I’m convinced the majority of workplace bullying experiences are actually narcissistic abuse under another name.

HR is there to protect the company, not the employees. If the workplace is toxic it’s HR’s job to enable it. Don’t be fooled into thinking HR is there to help you.

"Counseling the employee" is just another way to say "blaming the victim."

Toxic work environment is very problematic. And the employer always get rid of good workers and keep the person that cause the chaos when they in better positions.

I can spot this a mile away. Its in every work place and it is beyond cringe- worthy. I leave the jobs. I don’t care how the ball bounces for me when I weigh out the underlying misery and consequences on my mental health that being in constant proximity to such personalities invites, I’d rather take my chances than live in a continual expectation of reinforced abuse. Its one of the most disappointing realities I have experienced professionally.

HR is full of narcissist or enablers. Their job is to protect the company, not the employees. It’s a waste of time to complain to HR.

It’s always the narcissistic person who wins. They get rewarded for bad behavior.

I experienced this behavior in a University, a Hospital and a private, religious school. It makes a person's job so difficult to have to soothe the Narcissist each day and work around the land mines of dysregulation. I am delighted to be in a mental health practice with ethical, considerate colleagues at last !

To be honest. Most narcissists I met at work are not considered "difficult" they are rather the "positive", "respectable" and "charismatic" people that everyone loves and no one suspects. Except for the scape goat that experiences all the covert abuse

I quit a very well paying job a few months ago, and this video is exactly right. The company was infested with narc execs and managers. It was soul crushing and I couldnt take it anymore. In a right to work state, you have no rights. It seems most companies are like this now. Empaths need not apply.

I lost my dream job that I worked so very hard for to a narc. It was the best paying job and it was a job that allowed me to have a major shift in life by moving up the ladder. I put up with alot for my kids as a single mother because I knew this job would be good for me and my boys. I could handle just about anything. But once I was bullied by the narc and demeaned, talked down, triangulated, etc her behavior was the one thing I couldn't handle. I literally had a panic attack in training class from this person. I was hyperventilating so bad I had to leave this 12x12 training room I was trapped in with her. Once I got back from my break after about 1hr that should have been 15 mins I got written up as I balling my eyes out to HR who make it out to be my fault as I am still out of it. That panic attack made me feel like I was going to die or go crazy. After a couple more days of training my peace of mind wasn't worth putting up with such a hurtful toxic environment. But walking away absolutely broke me because I'd worked so hard for the job. I literally stayed in bed for two weeks straight and I was shaking literally shaking in bed for days. I tried not to move and numb out because every time I moved I felt the emotional pain and the shaking would continue. I was completely traumatized and fell into a depression for a few years.

Narcissism in the work place needs to be addressed. We should not let these people have any level of power. The world needs to be healthy and that means addressing these people properly.

I work for a mental health agency. Have for 6 years. They're not even excluded from this behavior. It's horrible how society has normalized and supported narcissism without any accountability or repercussions. It's maddening!

Narcissism in the workplace is a HUGE problem; a constant revolving door of good workers walking out the door while the narc managers remain in place, and HR continuously looking the other way. It all boils down to $$$. Making $$ is more important than an abusive narc, especially in a sales office. 💰💰

I used to work as a nurse with highly narcissistic surgeons. They used their status as a tool to abuse the nurses in the operation rooms. If you, when assisting them, for some reason handed the wrong instrument it could sometimes be thrown into the wall. I suffered from anxiety, insomnia and a lot of other stress symptoms when working in the hospital.

The only purpose HR had in my workplace was to fire the wrong people and keep the narcissists employed. Sad but true.

It’s sad but true. Your complaint will go into your HR file and you’re now “a difficult employee” or “a risk factor” or even on the nomination to be the first one “to go” when lay offs are coming up again.

100 percent on point as usual. The narcissist always wins. It’s so unjust.

One of my friends documented carefully, gathered evidence, turned it over to the appropriate authorities and got to watch the raid. Then she testified in court where the abusers and their enablers were permanently shut down. 'Twas fun to watch.
