One thing you could do is switch the sentence editing and the paragraph editing. Do one one day then the other the next day. But I can't remember if the sentence book was for grammar or editing. You could switch back and forth anyway.

My 4th grader is also autistic and verging on gifted as well. So fun! Love seeing what you picked for him.

After we received our EIW curriculum for my 4th and 6th graders they informed me that they strongly disliked it 😑 So my 6th grader is using Writing with Skill Level 1 from The Well Trained Mind. And my 4th grader is doing Writing with Ease level 3. I really like them. They are both really affordable and open and go. Also things I need! We're a couple weeks in, so far so good! We've added in the paragraph editing too. :)
