In the Royal Rumble match in 2005, Batista and John Cena eliminated themselves. Vince came out and tore his quads. Vince ordered a restart. Batista then eliminated Cena, winning the match. On Raw, Batista starred at Triple H’s title, who noticed it and got scared. On Raw, A limo appeared to hit Batista but Triple H saved him. Batista said he will go to Smackdown alone to confront the WWE Champion JBL. Batista appeared on Smackdown and destroyed JBL’s limo. On Raw, Triple H told Flair it was him who tried to hit Batista with the limo and Batista heard everything. Later, Batista was about to sign with Smackdown but did a thumbs down, then put Triple H through a table. A week later, Batista hit Flair with a batista bomb while Triple H watched. A week later, Batista defeated Flair, then Triple H tried to hit him with the sledgehammer, blocked him and then broke it. A week later, Batista got surrounded by Snitsky, Triple H and Flair. Kane came out for the save and Batista hit Snitsky with a batista bomb. Next week, they were face to face. Triple H slapped him and then they started brawling until security stopped them. They met at Wrestlemania. Batista hit him with a batista bomb and pinned him to become the new world heavyweight champion.

Randy Orton faces HHH for the World Title one last time but the match ends with Hogan attacking Orton, revealing Orton as his attacker to the shock of everyone in the main event of No Way Out 2005, Cena becomes the Number 1 Contender for the WWE Title after lastly eliminating Angle.

Randy Orton faces Hulk Hogan at Wrestlemania with Orton living up to his Legend Killer name defeating Hogan to end his legendary career in his final WWE Match.

John Cena goes on to Wrestlemania 21 to defeat JBL to become the new WWE Champion and start a new era on Smackdown with Cena at the helm.

Batista faces Triple H for the World Title at Wrestlemania 21 with Batista defeating HHH to become the new World Champion in the main event.
