Per the official FAQs on BGG:

“Q. Can you elaborate on action timing?

A. “Before this action” and “before/when attempting a” effects resolve after playing a skill card but before boosting.

“After this action” effects resolve after completing or failing the challenge.”

You failed the challenge and rolled the dark. You should have lost at that point - losing 1 health +1 for Callous Grows Angry.
If you had survived the fail effects, then you could have resolved the ability.

Question about timing: when you played Noble Education at 1:01:38, you moved the progress from Callous to Immortality first before attempting the challenge. However, the card reads "After this action". I'm pretty sure "after this action" effects resolve after completing or failing the challenge. So I think this would have resulted in a loss since failing the challenge would have cost you guys to lose your last health. But perhaps I'm misunderstanding the timing of Noble Education?

@1:05:47 Wait.. what color is the Callous enemy card? Does the rolled white match the color of the challenge (for Immortality)? Or is Immortality flipped?

When fighting immortality, the card says “after this action”, but you placed the progress *before* rolling to defeat immortality. You should have lost your last health there :(

Is Firebolt misprinted in Roland’s deck? His card says “+2 for each [FLAME] you discard” not “in your discard”. I don’t see a way to discard cards during a challenge though.

Is this game dramatically different from the other kinfire delve games? I haven't played any of them yet.
