Also to mentally have yourself in the right place to give it your all. I had some moments during training where I wasnt mentally there and punched terrible. While other days when Im in the zone, my punches have actual dedication behind them

Its a bunch of stuff.

Start with the feet. They twist.
The legs. They bend.
The hips. They rotate
The torso. Collects all that force built up from above
The shoulder. Push it forward.
The arm. Depending on the punch, is the decision maker, place it well.
The wrist and hand. Twists to land it appropriately.

Its such a coordination thing. Experts make it seem flawless. I think this guy is cutting a bunch of stuff off. Once you do all of these right at least once, you are going to feel with how much force you can work with.

Now add the balance of speed, feints, and body weight.

I train MMA and still have a bunch to learn, but god damn it feels good.

Most people thought punching strength came from the arms. But you actually generate more power by driving the punch from the hips. Great video 👍🏻👍🏻

Lol even when he’s throwing arm punches, he still can’t help but rotate a lil bit. Man is just TOO good!

One random comment I read forever ago really helped my punches, instead of "pushing" your arm forward, "pull" the opposite shoulder back because it activates your lats better

Moving then hips, twisting, and pivot💪

That's a brilliant tip, "practice without punches" so many of us unknowingly rely on our arms, or basically try and throw a fastball. Brilliant, thank you.

Nice!!! I think lean guys like us HAVE to learn that unlike these other guys that have more mass therefore their “arm punches” as I like to call them feel powerful. (Although it is nothing compared to what they could do with proper technique)

Dude, you’re rockin that jumprope. Could watch it for hours, it’s so smooth.

Good form also. I wouldn’t want one of those landed on me.
