To donate:

We will calculate the Gravitational Time Shift to see how much longer you would live if you were to live on 1) Earth, 2) Sun, 3) White Dwarf, 4) Neutron Star, 5) the Event Horizon (at the black hole).

Michael, you have taught me a lot lots of things for which I won't be able to thank you enough but still I dare to thank you. It is teacher's day in India today when we honour our teachers. Outstanding teachers shape the world you know and you are outstandingly outstanding.

So if the radius is linear with respect to mass, it means the volume is cubic. That implies that the effective density of a black hole is inversely square with respect to mass (double the mass = 1/4 the density).

Larger black holes thus have weaker tidal forces at and near the event horizon.

Im a high school and I really like physics and astronomy... this gonna be my additional knowledge even tho I dont learn this at school

Sir you are a genius... Your explanation is far better than most teachers I've come across in my life

It's not "Schwarzchild"! His name was "Schwarzschild", it's German, "schwarz" stands for "black" and "schild" means "shield" in Englisch. So his name translated to Englisch means "Blackshield" and not "Blackchild"

If we have differen Black holes densities, for example the Super massive black holes have very low Density ( lower than water density), but if The Earth becomes black hole it will have a radius of 0.9 Cm ..so the density should be very high. So the people who say ( A teaspoon of black hole material weighs more than mount Everest ) are wrong, because every black hole is different from the other.

the schwartzchild radius is just where the escape velocity = c, right?

10 times more mass is 10 times more radius, is 1000 times more volume and 100 times less density. If you put in all the mass of the universe (ca. 10^54kg), you will get a radius of a black hole that is more than 13.4billion lightyear and an average density of 40 protons per m^3. Are we insight a black hole?

just brilliant !!! A have a question: what would happend if the
Sun squeeze up to reach its Schwarzwild radium, according its mass? will orbits of the planets change? Thank you !!

Hello Prof, do you have in program a series on general relativity in depth, that involves the advanced mathematical concept? Like you are doing for advanced EM? thank you

My question is, HOW did they come up with this formula? WHAT IS the PROOF for this formula? There is sooo much theory in theoretical physics, that, it is scary.

You have misspelled "Schwarzschild"

If anyone can answer me pls if you know. I am really confused - is an object becoming black hole below or at schwaszchild radius
