Marvel news, Marvel Studios reportedly almost cast another famous and fan favorite actor as Doctor Doom in the MCU, not Robert Downey Jr. this new report says Marvel Studios cast Robert Downey Jr as Doctor Doom to play it safe. Fans might have liked this other choice however, was it the actual safe option for Marvel Studios? Was this Marvels plan to replace Jonathan Majors Kang before he was convicted?

My choices for Doom were cilian Murphy, adam Driver, and Luke evans because they all fit that sinister eerie demeanor for the character

Oh man mr RDJ’s Tony Stark doctor doom and Mr majors Kang would have been insane to see the both of them on screen in secret wars. The chemistry and the dialogue between both men playing both characters would have been insane. Now of course any actor playing doom also having an interaction with Mr majors kang would also be nice. But Tony Stark Doctor Doom and Mr majors kang going back and forth. That literally would have been insane. I just wish everything did not transpire with Mr majors. Then kang would still be here now. And Mr majors Kang and Mr RDJ’s Tony stark doom with the Russo’s directing Kang dynasty could have been announced at SDCC. It’s sad, but sometimes certain things in reality does not work out the way others hoped. So yeah. That would’ve still been an insane moment.

Doom vs kang wouldve been awesome and it's crazy to think how far back MCU was already looking for a way to bring in this new villain they have always had a plan

Mads is a better choice for Doom but RDJ was the best choice to crowd please and get the MCU back on track. Think about it. If Mads came out on that stage, would the audience cheer as much, no. The Russo Brothers and Feige know what they are doing.

I think RDJ is the rollercoaster but the real Doom will surprise everyone. I believe RDJ is the blind. We're just not seeing the pieces yet. It's a genius move.

Marvel choosing RDJ over Mads to play Doom as playing it safe is a piss poor, weak excuse to protect the casting department of their studio.
