Stone altar Sardinian neolithic
Показать описание
This small ceramic sculpture is inspired by nuragic altars and holly wells typical to Sardinia. The color and finish of the stone resemble granite rocks that constitute the island's ground, with traces of time crusts and stone moss. The tree tip-carved detail with glossy crackle glaze effect recalls the cork oak numerous in the Gallura region. Figures in the cavity represent cultural and historic symbols of Sardinia and determine the sculpture shape.
Available in two versions: a Sardinian lapwing made of red earthenware with folk patterns or a warrior made of black refractory earthenware with decorated shield inspired by neolithic Sardinian bronze warriors.
Dimensions:
height about 4,5-5,5 cm
width about 5-6 cm
thickness about 4,5 cm
* This is a small handmade sculpture thus each altar differs from the others. In case of particular requests, please contact us before concluding your purchase.
