One reason we should be broken over our sin is because sin creates memories that stay with us. These types of memories, created by our sin are often difficult for us. In this video, Voddie Baucham reveals how these memories, although devastating for us, can benefit us and glorify God. Our memories of our sin serve to remind us of God's grace and mercy in our lives.

A sermon jam based on Voddie Baucham's sermon on Brokenness.

I've been grieving sin all my life. Oh the pain I have caused God, . Family, and friends in the past. My brokenness is ever before me. I do believe that God is doing a good work in me. But I'm in constant repentance. Oh the day that I can shed this body of death. What a wretched man I am. But I thank God I'm not the man I used to be.

Br. It’s not remembering or forgetting sin, it’s what you permit the memory to do! Does it cause joy
because you know your forgiven or despondency because God forgave U but U won’t forgive yourself?

After receiving The Holy Spirit we receive one other thing. PTSD of or sins, judgment for our sins for God judges his church first. As well as a baptism of fire through the Bantu sin itself. An ever constant judgement of self.

Ezekiel 36:31-32

31.) Then shall ye remember your own evil ways, and your doings that were not good, and shall lothe yourselves in your own sight for your iniquities and for your abominations.

32.) Not for your sakes do I this, saith the Lord GOD, be it known unto you: be ashamed and confounded for your own ways, O house of Israel.

NO. NO NO NO NO. A thousand times NO! Look, I like Voddie, but this ain't Gospel. Psalm 51 ain't New Covenant. Hebrews says the blood of Christ cleanses even my conscience. Sorry, I don't care who the preacher is. This is not true! Yes, I have been completely broken over my sin. But I don't live with the memory of my sin. I have been crucified with christ. I died to sin and have been raised with him. I have put off the old man, which includes the memory of my sin. And I have put on the new man which is created in rightsoeusness and true holiness. Yes there may be a season where we remember our sin and what we have done to people, but we are not to live there. I'm sorry king david in psalm 51 is not our example. David's Son is and he has washed us clean we ARE new creations in Him.
